It Wasn’t Suppose to Be a Nude Beach! Barcelona, Spain

The biggest of Latvia’s naturist beaches, situated a little way north of Vecāķi village. To get there from Riga take the Riga-Saulkrasti railway line and get off at Vecāķi or bus Nr24 or small bus Nr200&224. As idyllic a beach as ever, Es Trenc will leave you breathless at its soft white sand and turquoise waters.

Located in Granada, Andalucia, El Muerto is a secluded calm beach backdropped by rocky hills and covered in sand and gravel. To get there, you’ll need to take a short walk through the neighboring beach, Playa Cotobro. You’ll get to enjoy the sound of waves gently crashing on the shore and birds chirping in the dunes set along the coast. This over-2-kilometer stretch of beauty has been declared a no-development zone – meaning it is entirely unspoiled by hotels and busy restaurants.

Surfing has become popular in Barcelona in recent years and you will generally surfers in spring, autumn and winter in Barcelona. Barcelona is not a top surfing destination, but on some days it is possible to catch some waves and the good news is that there are no sharks or other dangerous animals. So if you get there early the beaches will be very clean and the water will be clear and fresh.

Nudists are found there mostly during the winter as the weather is pleasant all year around. Naturism is common on the north-western portion of the beach and there is a small naturist beach to the west, beyond the rocks. While we’ve only mentioned a few, the Spanish Naturist Federation claims that there are over 400 Spanish naturist beaches.

These beaches are some of the best spots to go topless in Spain. All you need to bring along is a good sunscreen, umbrella, water, a towel, and your bare bottoms. Like most of the island’s beaches, there’s a shortage of facilities and amenities on the sands, which helps to keep them unspoilt. Like you’d expect though, the scenery is stunning and the sand is scattered with volcanic rocks.
