These results suggest that most successful applicants to Spelman College have primarily A grades. Spelman College is a historically Black women’s college with an acceptance rate of 43%.
Moreover, the submission of ACT scores is mandatory to be considered for admission. As many as 51% of the applicants submit their ACT scores for admission to the university, as per the latest information. Spelman College has suspended the standardized testing requirement for students applying for the class of 2025. This policy applies to all new first-time application cycles, including early decision, early notification and regular decision. Students who choose to apply to Spelman without test scores will not be disadvantaged in the review process. We understand that some students will still have access to standardized tests and would like for their scores to be considered.
